NEW YORK— In early November, one of the largest storms in U.S. history wreaked havoc in the East coast and caused insurmountable damage. Millions of citizens were affected, including several PSAV employees. Though faced with the hardships in their lives at home, many PSAV team members still found ways to work remotely without missing a beat.
Some PSAV team members of the tri-state area and PSAV New York team members were displaced from their homes and nearly all were affected by power outages. In addition, a number of partner locations in New Jersey sustained damage, but the determination and willingness of PSAV directors and staff to support their partners have been remarkable. Directors of Event Technology Silvester Mercado, Marcos Tobias, Matt Perrine’s homes were some of the hardest hit, but they continued to support the hotels during the turmoil.
“My team here at the branch is what motivates me. Their determination and resilience during tough times is admirable,” said PSAV New York Branch Director Brent Taylor. “The commitment they have for PSAV only reinforces the amazing passion they have to be part of PSAV New York. I am very proud to work with each and every one of them.”
“I cannot be more proud of the company that I work for when I hear stories like this,” said PSAV Vice President of Branch Sales Joe Hirsch. “It is hard to imagine what they are going through emotionally from the loss of power to property and then have the internal drive to still serve our customers. I cannot thank everyone enough and wish them the best while they get their lives back on track.”
