A Spine-tingling Gala Dinner

OTTAWA, Canada– The Westin Ottawa opened its doors to the attendees of the ArticNet gala dinner and sent chills down their spines with an artic-themed gala.

Just a week prior to the event, the client approached the PSAV team and requested for a cold look for the dinner. PSAV Director of Event Technology Trevor Robinson and the rest of the team worked together to come up with a set that impressed guests and the client.

The PSAV team used 30 LED fixtures, 16 Mac 250s, JBL VRX, a Bose set, two 42-inch monitors, a custom-cut steel gobo, a dozen spandex sails, two 9-foot by 12-foot flown screens, black velour tie-off drape and Panasonic 7700 projectors.

“We achieved the goal of making the room look and feel cold, as people started shivering as soon as they entered the room,” said Robinson. “The client was so blown away by the setup that he has asked me to coordinate with PSAV Director of Event Technology Daryl Mikulinskin at The Westin Bayshore for ArticNet’s next event.”
