SAN JOSE, Calif.—Dressed up in a space suit, PSAV National Sales Director of Strategic Accounts Christopher Walsh recently went above and beyond at the DoubleTree San Jose for a key site visit here in mid-July.
Walsh and the several PSAV team members knew they had to make a lasting impression on the client to host its 75th anniversary event with a Fortune 500 audience. Knowing the customer had close ties to the International Space Station, Walsh and the team decided to host a space-themed site visit.
To the delight and surprise of the visitors, Walsh welcomed the clients via HDEVC in a Tyvek suit with prominent patches of the PSAV and DoubleTree logos along with the ISS mission and US flag patches.
The PSAV team members of the hotel received word that the client visited at least ten other properties, including one of PSAV’s other partner location, the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. During the visit with that location, the members addressed that the clients repeatedly raved about the space-themed event at the DoubleTree San Jose.
“It was fun to partner with our team members and hotel staff at the DoubleTree to make our collective vision come to life, and to go above and beyond,” said Walsh. “I especially enjoyed seeing the look on the prospective client’s faces and the subsequent reaction they had when I showed up on the big screen.”
