DALLAS – Earlier this month, PSAV teamed up with NFL Dallas Cowboys players Jason Witten, Tony Romo, DeMarcus Ware, Miles Austin and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to tackle childhood cancer at the Children’s Cancer Fund’s 24th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Hilton Anatole.
For the tenth year, Proud Wisher (the highest level of sponsorship) PSAV co-produced the circus-themed event and provided all audiovisual services, video production, rigging and support.
The client this year decided to take its event from the typical 28,000 square-foot Chantilly ballroom to the 128,600 square-foot Trinity ballroom. PSAV created a tented entrance with red and ivory drape that was rigged on high steel and lit up the stage for silk aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, clowns and various circus acts with Color Force 12s, Color Force 72s, Color Charge Plus and 12-foot by 16-foot rear projection screens.
Hosted by Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famers Roger Staubach and Troy Aikmen, the annual fashion show brought together children undergoing treatment for cancer and celebrities for an experience that served to raise the children’s spirits and funds for pediatric cancer research.
“The event proved to be successful, generating more than $300,000 to support the research and help the patients make it through challenging times,” said PSAV Sales Manager Steve Peacock. “We also plan to sponsor the 25th annual Children’s Cancer Fund Luncheon and Fashion Show next year.”
