Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

WAIKIKI, Hawaii— In mid-February, PSAV supported the Amway Japan Leadership Conference Sayonara Parties at The Royal Hawaiian and supported an attention-grabbing 3D mapping event for beach-goers and hotel guests here.

Though the event was originally scheduled to take place early last year, it was postponed to 11 months later due to the catastrophic tsunami in Japan that hindered Amway delegates from travelling overseas.

The event took eight weeks of programming and editing and required ten technicians and half a day to set everything up. The projection content was created on a Mac desktop through Pandora Media servers and projected through six Barco R22 projectors.

When asked what the biggest challenge was, PSAV Senior Project Manager Paul Medeiros admitted, “Getting the guests in the rooms in the projection cone to close their blinds and turn off their lights.”

Seamless content and show production were managed by PSAV clients 9PM Events & Entertainment.

Following the event, the client was overwhelmed with joy after waiting for more than a year to see this all come together.
